How to install PBR texture cache into BeamNG.drive

  1. Find your BeamNG folder. Normal Linux Steam installs put it in ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/284160/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/BeamNG.drive
    If Steam is installed as a flatpak, BeamNG.drive will be in ~/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/data/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/284160/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/BeamNG.drive
  2. Click here and download the .zip for the map you want.
  3. Extract the contents into BeamNG.drive/temp/art/terrainMaterialCache/
    You might have to create that folder. Overwrite any existing .dds files.

What if the map you want isn't in the .zip list?

Check the todo list here. If it's not listed there, email me at jconnolly837@kolabnow.com. You'll be emailed back once I get around to generating the PBR cache for it. If the map you want has been sitting in the todo list for a while, don't be afraid to bug me so it gets priority. Also feel free to email me for help installing PBR texture cache.
